THE SHANGHAI TUNNELS PROJECT

It was an absolute honor to have a film in the final round of the Shanghai Tunnels Project, an international video poetry contest put on by H.A.L. Publishing and Unshod Quills. It is particularly great to know that a film I made was screened in Shanghai and to hear that it was well received.

HELLO EARTH + LOOM GALLERY + BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN, NEW YORK

Lindsay Allison Ruoff and I recently collaborated on a chapbook and an art installation for a group art show called HELLO EARTH at THE LOOM GALLERY in New York. The show was curated by Sophie Grant and featured a plethora of wonderful work by some amazing artists.

Lindsay and I credited our work to Allison Duncan, a combination of our middle names. Here is Allison's bio:

Allison Duncan is a mutant persona created by Robert Gray and Lindsay Ruoff. Based in Portland, Oregon, Allison is a writer and multimedia artist considering the collaborative creative process as a means of dissolving barriers of identification and expanding venues for communication. In her work, language and mark-making are both subjects and tools used to redefine narratives between characters, animals, objects, and materials.

Our chapbook is called TRANS- and contains 18 poems, all of which I am very proud to have written and/or collaborated on. Here are some photos of the piece and a short video from James Franco's RABBIT TV, which did a feature on the show and interviewed us.

JOSEPH RIIPPI + A CLOTH HOUSE + HOUSEFIRE

Joseph Riippi is such a lovely man.

Today, Lindsay, Riley and I met with Joseph and his sister and ate lunch at Kenny and Zuke's.

I had a pastrami burger with swiss. It was so delicious.

Anyways.

Joseph has written a really beautiful book called A CLOTH HOUSE and it is out now on HOUSEFIRE.

I highly recommend it.
